Dwango unveiled details and a trailer for BEYOND BORDERS Vol.1: EMERGE MODE MIKU, an EP that features Hatsune Miku singing with artists such as Grimes, Slayr, MOLIY, Odetari, George Clanton, Frost Children, XAMIYA, and others. The announcement took place at Anime Expo in Los Angeles.

The project aims to introduce Vocaloid music to a global audience and is a collaboration between Dwango and Nebula17 through the US label. Hatsune Miku will serve as the lead vocalist on tracks that span electronic, alternative, hyperpop, rap, and experimental genres.

Producers include Grant Boutin, known for work with Tate McRae; VADAKIN, who produced for Grimes; MOMBRU, associated with Fridayy; Byrd, credited on Bad Bunny releases; Xansei of XG; and Jon‑YAKITORY, SatapanP, and picco, noted Vocaloid producers. Songwriters Charles “Scoot” Anderson, linked to Ariana Grande, and Cecile Believe, linked to Charli xcx, contributed to the writing. No release date beyond fall 2026 has been set, though a series of singles will be issued during the summer.

The EP remains without a confirmed launch date, and the timing of the upcoming singles is pending.
