Flipper Zero will continue firmware development and support community contributions through a new review process.
Flipper Zero will continue firmware development and support community contributions through a new review process. The project launched on Kickstarter in 2020 and has delivered hardware to more than one million users worldwide after overcoming component shortages and supply chain challenges. The development team said it will allocate limited resources to maintaining the firmware while focusing on new device designs. Communication will be limited to asynchronous requests posted in GitHub Discussions, where community members can vote on feature proposals. Pull requests will be evaluated according to updated contribution guidelines, and integration test cases will be published for public review. The team noted that real-time interaction is no longer feasible due to high request volume.
