Uber announced new travel‑related services and expanded its autonomous‑vehicle data program. The company will add hotel bookings through a partnership with Expedia, boat rentals in Europe, and a “shop for me” feature that lets users order items from local stores. It also plans to equip hundreds of vehicles with sensors to collect driving data for autonomous‑vehicle partners.

Ride‑hailing and food delivery remain Uber’s core businesses, but the firm has been adding services that go beyond those categories. A debit card for driver earnings, known as the Uber Pro card, lets drivers transfer income to a bank account. The company’s Uber One membership now has about 51 million members and accounts for roughly half of its bookings.

Uber’s AV Labs unit, launched in 2025, will deploy sensor‑equipped cars through its fleet partners to gather millions of miles of driving data. The effort supports partnerships with autonomous‑vehicle companies such as Waymo. Uber ended a pilot program with Waymo in Phoenix after reviewing the results, while expanding the service in Austin and Atlanta where hundreds of vehicles operate. Data labeling services for artificial‑intelligence firms are a new revenue stream, and Uber sells labeled audio and visual data to commercial partners.

Uber has introduced an earner assistant that suggests higher‑demand locations to drivers, a voice‑activated ride request that can specify luggage needs, and a grocery‑cart assistant for food delivery. The company says it is working toward an agent that can plan and book complete trips, but no release date has been set. CPO Sachin Kansal said most of his time is spent ensuring existing products are solid, with only a small portion devoted to new ideas.

Uber expects its expanded services to increase user engagement across ride‑hailing, delivery, and travel, while the data collected by AV Labs may improve the performance of autonomous‑vehicle systems. The company has not said whether it will develop its own buy‑now‑pay‑later product, but it continues to partner with existing providers for that capability.
