Allbridge Core paused its cross‑chain stablecoin protocol after a security incident on Solana that resulted in an estimated $1.65 million loss, according to PeckShield. The exploit involved a $1.12 million USDC flash loan from Kamino that the attacker used to manipulate the USDC/USDT liquidity pool on Allbridge Core, creating a temporary arbitrage opportunity. Onchain Lens reported that the attacker performed rapid swaps to alter pool balances, withdrew liquidity at distorted rates, and repaid the flash loan within the same transaction. The stolen assets were transferred from Solana to Ethereum via the bridge. Allbridge urged liquidity providers to withdraw their funds while the investigation continued and asked anyone who profited from the arbitrage to consider returning funds to a recovery address. The incident follows a prior April 2023 exploit on the BNB Chain that caused about $573,000 in losses, of which roughly $465,000 was recovered after a white‑hat reward. Other recent cross‑chain attacks include a May Verus‑Ethereum bridge loss exceeding $11.5 million and a Transit Finance exploit of about $1.88 million. Allbridge has not set a reopening date and has not released a technical report, stating that the pause is precautionary while the investigation proceeds.
