Saber Interactive said the KOTOR Remake remains in active development and is targeting a release in fiscal year 2028.
The game has been anticipated since the original Knights of the Old Republic launched in 2003.
Saber Interactive's chief business officer, Steve Allison, indicated the title could appear among self‑published releases scheduled for fiscal year 2028.
Allison noted the lineup may include Space Marine, John Wick, the KOTOR Remake and other unannounced titles.
He clarified that the schedule refers to fiscal year 2028, meaning a calendar release in early 2029 would still satisfy the timeline.
Allison said the project is still uncertain and the final development period remains unclear.
Casey Hudson, a former lead on the original KOTOR series, is developing Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, which he says will be ready before 2030.
If the KOTOR Remake stays on schedule, a public preview could be shown in the coming year.
