Anthropic announced that voice mode for Claude is now available on its Opus and Sonnet models and is integrated into applications such as Gmail, Slack, and Canva. Voice mode was introduced a year ago for rapid question answering with minimal delay, and users have since employed it for more complex business tasks that required deeper analysis than the earlier Haiku model provided. Anthropic described Sonnet and Opus as models designed for hard problem solving, capable of generating detailed responses, performing analysis, and executing actions such as turning a conversation into a one‑page pitch or adjusting calendar entries when a train delay occurs. Users can switch between text and voice mode and select among the three models during a session. The expansion includes new languages, with voice mode now available in French, German, Spanish, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Portuguese. A correction was issued stating that the feature launched in 2025, not 2026.
