Gears of War E-Day will hold a multiplayer open beta before its October 6 launch.

The early access period runs from August 6 to August 10 for players who pre-ordered the game on Xbox Series X/S, Steam, the Windows Store, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, or PC Game Pass, as well as those who have pre-ordered through the Xbox Store.

During the early access weekend, participants will test the updated co‑op Horde Siege mode, which includes one map, four classes capped at level 10, and two invasion bosses. The open beta weekend, scheduled for August 13 to August 17, will allow all players to access PvP Versus modes on two maps, with progression capped at level 50 and five medals available.

At launch, the game will expand to three Horde Siege maps, four invasion bosses, four PvP modes, six PvP maps, more than 80 medals, full seasonal customization, progression to level 100 with four prestige resets, and additional reward items that will carry over to the final release.
