SpaceX reported April‑June revenue of $7.8 billion, nearly double the $4.1 billion earned a year earlier, and said the results beat Wall Street expectations, according to LSEG data. Starlink revenue increased 66% and revenue from the company's AI business rose about 250%. Total capital spending rose to more than $18 billion, up from $2.83 billion a year earlier, with $15.83 billion spent on AI compute in the second quarter alone. The company narrowed its operating loss to $143 million from $970 million and said operating income at Starlink grew 79%. Elon Musk said the firm expects a $100 billion revenue run‑rate by December and plans to deploy at least 1,000 next‑generation V3 Starlink satellites within a year, as well as expand into mobile phone services. He added that SpaceX intends to build more than two gigawatts of AI computing capacity this year and close to 10 gigawatts by the end of next year, using Nvidia hardware. Shares fell 7.5% in after‑hours trading after a 9.4% gain during the day; the stock is down about 8% since its June IPO, which valued the company at roughly $1.75 trillion. Analysts noted the results provide an early test of the investment case that profits from Starlink can fund the AI and Starship initiatives, while some observers cautioned about the sustainability of the heavy spending.
