Staff for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 announced a new teaser trailer on Friday, confirming an October 20 release date on Netflix. The series will consist of ten episodes and is set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. The trailer also features the song YOU CAN’T RUN FROM ME performed by rapper RICO NASTY.

Kai Ikarashi, who previously worked as a storyboard artist, animation director, animator and prop designer on the first season, directs the new series in his debut as director. Writer Bartosz Sztybor returns, and Ichigo Kanno serves as lead character designer. Masahiko Otsuka continues as scriptwriter.

The cast includes Momoka Terasawa and Valeria Rodriguez as Roman Carax, Akari Kitō and Kimoy Lee as Talia Yang, Kōki Uchiyama and Nazeeh Tarsha as D, and Kentarō Tone and Clancy Brown as Weak Kingsley.

The opening theme is The Cure’s 1978 song 10:15 Saturday Night, and the ending theme is Petite Meller’s Watson.

The first episode premiered at Anime Expo on July 3, 2025.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners originally debuted on Netflix in September 2022. The game it adapts is based on Mike Pondsmith’s Cyberpunk tabletop RPG.

Aniplex of America will release the series on a Blu-ray Disc set in North America on October 28, while Anime Limited and Plaion Pictures will handle home video distribution in Europe, and Sugoi Co will distribute it in Australia and New Zealand.

A prequel manga titled Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Madness launched on Comic Alive+ in December 2024, with an English print edition by Dark Horse.

The series will stream globally on Netflix beginning October 20.
