Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will premiere on Netflix on October 20, 2026, after Netflix released a new trailer and teaser images at Anime NYC. The announcement confirmed a 10‑episode animated sequel that continues the Night City setting of the original series.

The series was first announced at Anime Expo 2025 and is presented as a standalone story. Studio Trigger returns to animate the show, with Kai Ikarashi directing, Bartosz Sztybor serving as showrunner, and Masahiko Otsuka handling writing duties.
