Steam will make two PC games free to play on its platform through Aug. 4, 2026.

Steam periodically offers limited‑time free‑to‑play access to selected titles, giving players a chance to try games without purchasing them.

Over The Top: WWI, a multiplayer shooter launched in March 2026, supports up to 200 players in World War I–themed battles that include infantry, tanks, artillery and aircraft. A recent US Expeditionary Forces update added United States forces, new maps, uniforms, weapons, vehicles and a first‑person perspective. Front Mission 3: Remake, released on Steam in January 2026, is a turn‑based tactical RPG that revisits a 1999 PlayStation title with modernized graphics, reorchestrated music and a quick‑combat mode. The game follows characters such as Kazuki Takemura as they engage in strategic combat using customizable mechs called Wanzers, emphasizing positioning and part modification.

Both titles are available for free on Steam until Aug. 4, and Valve notes that discounts will apply to purchases made during the promotion; the free access ends on Aug. 4.
