Sunrise and Production I.G released the official trailer for the upcoming anime films Sōkō Kihei Votoms Haiiro no Hexe on Friday, announcing the full cast and additional staff. Miyuki Sawashiro will voice Ash Vamps, described as an AT pilot called the Grey Witch, while Mabuki Andou will portray Maki Stauffenberg, an officer assigned to investigate Ash’s past. The cast also includes Shinichirō Miki, Yūki Kaji, Yūichi Nakamura, Satoshi Tsuruoka, Tomokazu Sugita, Kenta Miyake, Chafurin, Hōchū Ōtsuka, Daisuke Ono, Takayuki Sugō, Takahiro Sakurai, and Sumire Uesaka. Staff members announced include original character design concept by Kazuchika Kise, character design by Shingo Ogiso, Takashi Kojima, and Tetsuya Nishio, mechanical design by Kunio Ōkawara, Jū Ishiguchi, and Wataru Inada, and music by Kenji Kawai. Mamoru Oshii directs the films, with Ryōsuke Takahashi supervising, and mechanical designers Shinobu Tsuneki and Yoshiro Sōno contributing. The original 1983 Votoms series, which pioneered the real robot subgenre, follows Chirico Cuvie and has inspired multiple spinoffs such as The Last Red Shoulder and Alone Again.
