The Moon on a Rainy Night anime is slated for a 2027 television release, according to REMOW's statement at the Anime NYC panel on Saturday. The manga, written and illustrated by Kuzushiro, began serialization on Kodansha's Comic Days website in June 2021. Kodansha released the 12th volume in Japan on June 19, and Kodansha USA released the eighth volume digitally on December 23. Kodansha USA licensed the manga for English-language distribution. Tomoe Makino will direct the anime at CompTown. Shōgo Yasukawa is credited with writing the scripts and overseeing the series composition. Ayumi Nishibata is responsible for character design. The narrative follows Saki, who, after colliding with a girl named Kanon while rushing to a piano lesson, discovers that Kanon is hard of hearing and tends to keep others at a distance. Through a kind gesture, Saki begins to lower Kanon's barriers, while feelings develop between them. The production timeline has not been announced, and the series is expected to premiere sometime in 2027.
