Voice actress Masako Nozawa turned 90 on Saturday and announced a new line of apparel created with the Japanese brand FAVOLC.
The collection, available through FAVOLC’s website and the Animate online store, includes shirts, sweatshirts, pouches, a tote bag, shorts and a baseball hat that feature images of Nozawa from her youth and later years.
Masako Nozawa is best known for voicing Son Goku in the Dragon Ball franchise, a role she has performed since the series’ debut in 1986. She began her voice acting career in 1963 with Astro Boy and has since lent her voice to characters such as Kitarō in Gegege no Kitarō, Medama Oyaji in later adaptations, Tetsurō Hashino in Galaxy Express 999, Doctor Kureha in One Piece, and T0‑B1 in Star Wars: Visions.
The first wave of the Nozawa collection is priced between ¥3,080 and ¥8,800 (approximately US$19.38–$55.37). Purchasers on the FAVOLC website receive an original “Nozawa Masako 90th Anniversary” pin in black, purple or yellow. The items are sold through the FAVOLC site and the Animate online store.
Nozawa holds Guinness World Records for the longest video game voice acting career and for voicing the same character in a video game for the longest period. She received the 71st Kan Kikuchi Prize in 2023 and was honored as a Person of Cultural Merit by the Japanese government in 2025.
Her statement that she intends to continue voice acting until age 182 was made in her 2023 acceptance speech, and the new apparel marks a milestone in her long‑standing career.
