The speculation emerged after a Resetera post claimed Microsoft had approved a sequel with Saber Interactive, but Mahler said he had not heard of any such plans and noted that composer Gareth Coker was also unaware. He addressed the claim on X, stating the rumors were nonsense, and added that Moon Studios would develop the game if Microsoft gave the go‑ahead. The studio is currently focused on No Rest for the Wicked, an action RPG in early access that is expected to reach version 1.0 in October for PC and PS5, with other consoles to follow. During early access, the game has sold over two million copies.
