Apple Card, introduced seven years ago, has added several new capabilities and is preparing to move its issuance from Goldman Sachs to Chase within roughly two years. The Wallet app in iOS 27 now includes a recurring‑transaction feature that lets users view scheduled charges on a list or calendar. Apple has partnered with Booking.com to grant “Genius Level 2” status to cardholders after a qualifying stay or car rental, providing 3% Daily Cash on those transactions and potential discounts, free breakfast and room upgrades. Through a partnership with Hertz, Apple Card users receive 3% Daily Cash on car rentals and exclusive benefits such as emergency roadside service, loss‑damage waiver protection for $16.95 per day, a free additional driver and a minimum 5% discount on Pay‑Later rates. The Apple Card Savings account now offers web‑based access, allowing users to view and manage balances through a browser. Apple announced in January that the card will transition to Chase as the issuing bank, a change expected to be completed in approximately 24 months. Details about the transition remain under discussion. The shift to Chase and the rollout of new features will shape the card’s future offerings, with further information anticipated over the next 18 months.
