IKEA announced a nine‑piece YXSTABY collection themed around Xbox, unveiled at Gamescom in August, and said the items will be sold in stores and online beginning October 1. The collection includes a stool shaped like a controller thumbstick, a D‑pad‑design cushion, a lounge chair, and other furnishings. Pricing ranges from £12 for a cushion to £115 for a wheeled side table, and the company noted that Xbox‑branded products are expected to be priced higher than the base models. Microsoft’s Xbox Series S retails for £429.99 and the Series X for £669.99, with the Series S having launched at £249 in 2020. The announcement follows Microsoft’s recent restructuring under Asha Sharma, which has resulted in thousands of layoffs across its gaming and hardware divisions. Earlier IKEA introduced the BRÄNNBOLL line, which offered gaming accessories such as a rug designed to protect tables and gaming bolsters. The YXSTABY range will be available both in IKEA stores and on the company’s website from October 1.
