Apple tested a stylus that magnetically attaches to the side of a foldable iPhone for storage and charging. Mark Gurman reported that the accessory, a slimmer version of the Apple Pencil, proved awkward in certain positions and risked marking the delicate foldable screen. Gurman said it seems unlikely Apple will launch the stylus when the foldable iPhone is released next month. The report also noted that the design conflicts with Steve Jobs's 2007 comment that “nobody wants a stylus.” Apple has not confirmed any plans to ship the accessory.
