Cherry Xtrfy unveiled the M42V2 ultralight mouse at Gamescom.
Cherry Xtrfy unveiled the M42V2 ultralight mouse at Gamescom. The device weighs 45 g and features a modular rear shell that snaps on and off without tools.
Two interchangeable shells are supplied—one with a pronounced hump and one with a flat profile—so users can choose a shape that matches their preference. The mouse is equipped with a PixArt 3327 sensor offering CPI settings from 400 to 6200 and a 1000 Hz polling rate. Its body is matte UV‑coated, and it uses UHMW‑PE feet, avoiding the perforated construction common among ultralight mice.
At 45 g, the M42V2 is among the lightest solid‑shell mice on the market. It is priced at £39.99, €39.99, and $39.99 and became available this week.
The new model adds a lower‑cost option to Xtrfy’s ultralight lineup while retaining the symmetrical shape of its predecessor.
