Twisted Tower is a £10 indie shooter developed by a two‑person team that provides a five‑hour campaign and a New Game+ mode allowing access to previously restricted rooms.

The game is marketed as an experience similar to BioShock, but it offers a straightforward shooter with light traversal gadgets rather than plasmid‑driven mechanics.

Players explore a failed theme park themed around the movies of a director whose career declined after a series of commercial failures, with each zone reflecting one of his productions. Combat involves a serviceable variety of enemies such as wheeled exploding telephones, mascot creatures, clowns and mermaids, and includes weapons like rapid‑fire marble shooters, pistols, shotguns and tommy guns. Traversal gadgets such as high‑jump boots, a jet‑pack burst and a grappling hook are introduced as the game progresses. Level design begins with shifting platforms, upside‑down rooms and other creative tricks, while later areas become more conventional.

The game blends horror and comedy, but its humor often feels forced and its dialogue includes awkward jokes and cheesy one‑liners, particularly during the final boss fight against a 70‑year‑old filmmaker in a balloon. Visually, Twisted Tower receives praise for its bold art direction, distinctive zone identities and imaginative enemy designs.

At its price point, the title may appeal to players seeking a short experience with a platinum trophy, but uneven level design and shallow gameplay limit its recommendation beyond curiosity.
