Brandon Sanderson has been working on tabletop adaptations of his Cosmere books, with recent collaborations involving Brotherwise Games on standalone board games and a broader Cosmere tabletop role‑playing game. In a recent interview with IGN, the author was asked whether he had considered adapting the Skyward series and other Cytoverse titles for tabletop formats. He responded that he would love to do so, but emphasized the need to be careful not to overextend fan expectations. Sanderson noted that while discussions have taken place, no concrete plans are in place and any such project would depend on fan interest and timing. The upcoming release of Blightfall, the first official expansion of the Cytoverse universe, and a developing Skyward television adaptation were also mentioned as factors that could influence future collaborations. Although a tabletop version of Skyward is not imminent, Sanderson continues to develop other projects with Brotherwise, including a Mistborn expansion for the Cosmere RPG slated for November and a large War for Roshar strategy game in development.
