Philips has unveiled a new 34-inch ultrawide gaming monitor that incorporates fifth-generation QD-OLED technology. The model, designated 34M2C8600P, delivers a resolution of 3440 by 1440 pixels and supports a refresh rate of up to 280 hertz. Its panel uses self-illuminating pixels paired with an anti-reflection coating and carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. The display reproduces 99.3 percent of the DCI-P3 color spectrum and can render over one billion colors in 10-bit depth, enabling smooth gradients in games, video content, and creative work. Adaptive Sync technology is included to minimize visible tearing and stutter during frame rate fluctuations. The monitor offers two HDMI 2.1 inputs and one DisplayPort 1.4 connection, making it compatible with high-end gaming PCs and modern consoles. Philips has scheduled a release for October, with an estimated retail price of approximately £779.
