A new popcorn container tied to the upcoming Street Fighter film has been unveiled, drawing attention for its design and functionality. The bucket, shaped to resemble Guile's signature hairstyle, will be available only at AMC theaters. According to Cody Rhodes, who portrays Guile in the film, the container allows users to store popcorn on top of their head before eating it, or to consume it directly from the lap. Rhodes described the concept as "aerodynamic, ergonomic, delicious" in a public statement.
The item will be offered to patrons who purchase tickets when sales begin on September 21. The film is scheduled to open in theaters on October 16. Additional cast members include Noah Centineo as Ken, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Roman Reigns as Akuma, Jason Momoa as Blanka, 50 Cent as Balrog, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, and Eric Andre as Don Sauvage.
The movie is directed by Kitao Sakurai, known for his work on The Eric Andre Show, Twisted Metal, and Beef. Its release follows the upcoming theatrical debut of Resident Evil on September 18, which has received positive audience and critical response.
The popcorn bucket's design and limited availability have been highlighted in promotional materials shared via social media platforms, including a video posted by Rhodes on Twitter.
