Riot Platforms announced that it had fully repaid a $200 million credit facility sourced from Coinbase Credit, thereby freeing the collateral that had backed the loan. The financing had been secured by a pledge of Riot’s assets, which included holdings of Bitcoin, USDC stablecoin and cash, all of which were stored under the custody of Coinbase Custody Trust Company. According to a filing made with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday, the miner cleared the remaining principal and accrued interest on Monday, incurring no early‑termination fees or penalties. In parallel, the company continues to expand its data‑center operations; in August it entered a 20‑year agreement to provide 191 megawatts of capacity from its Rockdale, Texas campus to Anthropic, a prominent artificial‑intelligence firm. Bloomberg later reported that the arrangement was valued at roughly $9 billion. Earlier in the year, Riot disclosed that it generated $167.2 million in revenue for the first quarter of 2026, of which $33.2 million stemmed from its newly launched data‑center business. The company’s disclosures were made in a regulatory filing and do not contain any admission of wrongdoing or liability.
