Bulkhead announced that its tactical first-person shooter Wardogs reached three million copies sold within 18 days of entering Early Access on September 10th. The game peaked at 428,666 concurrent players on Steam three days after release and has since maintained daily peaks of approximately 300,000 players. Sales milestones were reached rapidly: one million copies sold on day one, two million by day six, and three million by day 18. This performance marks the studio's most successful launch to date, surpassing its earlier multiplayer title Battalion 1944, which sold 250,000 copies in 11 days. Wardogs features a 100-player tactical FPS format with three teams competing for control zones across a 256km² destructible map. After three years of development and a February reveal, the title entered Early Access earlier this month. The game holds a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, ranks among Steam's current top five most-played titles, and has received a nomination for Best Early Access Game 2026 at the Golden Joystick Awards. Bulkhead plans to launch Season 02 on October 15th. KitGuru noted that three million sales for a new IP in under three weeks represents strong performance, suggesting the possibility of additional sales milestones in the coming month.
