BNB price is trading around $788 at the start of October, having risen about 11% in September. The month’s movement is being defined by two factors: the upcoming 37th quarterly burn of BNB tokens and the $800 level, which is now acting as immediate resistance. BNB Chain executed its 37th burn in mid-October, removing approximately 1.6 million tokens from circulation and bringing total supply to just under 133.2 million. The burn was not announced with an exact date, but it aligns with the network’s quarterly schedule, following similar events in January, April and July. The previous burn in July destroyed 1.616 million BNB, valued at about $931.7 million at the time, and reduced the total supply to 133.166 million tokens. BNB Chain’s Auto-Burn mechanism, which permanently removes a portion of gas fees collected on the BNB Smart Chain, has already eliminated roughly 291,000 BNB through July. The long-term goal is to reduce the total supply to 100 million tokens, though the timing and size of each burn depend on market price and block production. While burns reduce supply, they do not automatically lift price, as demand, market conditions and broader crypto trends still play a dominant role. BNB Chain also reached a milestone in June when the combined market value of tokenized stocks and ETFs on its network surpassed $1 billion, supported by more than 709 individual products. Trading volume for these assets exceeded $5 billion, and recent data from September still placed the total market value near $3.5 billion. Binance has promoted tokenized equities such as Nvidia, Tesla and Circle, allowing eligible users to trade them around the clock. A current hackathon on the network, running through October 23, invites developers to build tools for tokenized stocks, with a $20,000 prize pool. On the technical side, BNB’s monthly RSI has recovered above 50, suggesting moderate momentum, though it remains below the 70 threshold that signals overbought conditions. The MACD indicator is still bearish but showing signs of weakening downward pressure, with the histogram shrinking slightly. Price action in September saw BNB climb from about $691 at the start of the month to a high near $806.68 before pulling back, leaving $800 as the clearest near-term resistance. A sustained close above that level, followed by movement above the September peak around $807, would be needed to confirm a bullish breakout. If that occurs, analysts are watching for potential targets near $820 and $850. Support remains near $740, with a stronger floor around $710. If price drops below $740, it could retest the $720–$700 range, which previously acted as both support and consolidation area. The current technical setup suggests that October’s direction depends on whether buyers can turn $800–$807 from resistance into support. While the burn provides a structural catalyst, price gains will ultimately depend on market demand and broader sentiment. BNB’s all-time high remains at $1,369.99, meaning even a move above $800 would still leave it well below historical peaks. The article does not constitute investment advice.
