DURANGO, Colo., Oct. 5, 2026 — Agile Space Industries announced on Tuesday that Jonathan Baliff has joined its board of directors, while Theo Squires was appointed director of strategy and corporate development. The moves are intended to reinforce the company’s capacity to execute its growth plan, support capital formation and pursue strategic opportunities as it scales operations.

The announcements follow Agile’s recent selection for the SpaceWERX Strategic Funding Increase (STRATFI) program, which backs the company’s effort to supply complete propulsion subsystems. Executives say the appointments and program inclusion reflect a broader push to align financial oversight with technical advancement as the firm expands its commercial and national security space activities.

Chris Pearson, chief executive officer of Agile, said the company has built momentum in a rapidly evolving market and now requires stronger financial and strategic frameworks to match its technical capabilities. "Jonathan’s experience in aerospace, capital formation and corporate transformation, combined with Theo’s focus on strategy and corporate development, will help us evaluate new opportunities, make strategic investments and position Agile for sustainable, long-term growth," Pearson said.

Baliff brings a background that spans military service, finance and corporate leadership. A former U.S. Air Force aviator and engineer, he currently serves as an operating partner at Genesis Park, where he helped establish and finance Redwire Corporation and later led its finance operations as chief financial officer. Prior to that, he was president and chief executive of Bristow Group and held senior roles at NRG Energy and Credit Suisse. Baliff said his experience in raising capital and guiding organizations through growth phases will support Agile’s scaling efforts.

"Agile has proven it has the technology and operational expertise to compete, win, and profitably grow in a rapidly evolving space market," Baliff said. "Our customers and capital providers will partner with us as we scale Agile’s technology, expand capacity, and efficiently deploy capital to support the company’s growth. I look forward to working with Chris, our proven team and board to help Agile capitalize on the significant opportunities ahead."

Squires previously worked as an intelligence officer in the Royal Australian Navy, where he contributed to a bilateral space program with the United States and Australia. He also served at Boston Consulting Group, advising advanced manufacturing firms on strategy and operations. In his new role, he will focus on capital formation, strategic investments and potential acquisitions of complementary technologies to strengthen Agile’s growth strategy.

"Scaling advanced propulsion hardware requires both technical innovation and a disciplined approach to capital investment," Squires said. "Our focus is on building a financial foundation to support higher-rate production while identifying strategic opportunities that complement Agile’s existing capabilities. We see significant potential to expand what we can offer customers as the space propulsion market continues to evolve."

The board also announced that Tom Rubin is stepping down from his board position after contributing legal expertise during a period of rapid growth. Rubin will remain in an advisory capacity, and Agile expressed gratitude for his past contributions.

Agile Space Industries develops chemical propulsion systems that enable spacecraft to maneuver and operate in orbit. The company integrates propulsion expertise, additive manufacturing and in-house testing to accelerate the delivery of flight hardware. It collaborates with aerospace firms and the U.S. government on spacecraft and launch vehicle programs. More information is available at agilespaceindustries.com.
