Robinhood Chain processed 6.2 million daily transactions from Oct.
Robinhood Chain processed 6.2 million daily transactions from Oct. 2 through Oct. 8, a 42% decline from 10.8 million recorded during Sept. 10–16, according to CoinDesk calculations based on growthepie data. Daily active blockchain addresses averaged 322,000, down 31% from mid-September levels, though the metric does not directly reflect unique user counts due to multi-address holdings and automated trading activity.
Weekly spot trading volume fell 21% to $7.45 billion, while deposits in the chain’s lending and trading applications rose 2% to $1.04 billion. Stablecoin supply increased slightly to $1.10 billion, indicating funds remain held within the ecosystem despite reduced trading activity. Perpetual futures volume showed growth, reaching $7.35 billion in the latest week, up 26% from the prior period.
Network fees collected totaled $65,000 daily during Oct. 2–8, down 39% from the previous week and a sharp drop from $8 million recorded on the chain’s peak day in early September. Robinhood continues covering network fees for token swaps exceeding 50 cents through Dec. 31, a extension of a program initially set to expire Sept. 29. The incentive was introduced to sustain activity after fee collapse earlier in the year, though transaction volume has since reversed course.
The slowdown represents a shift from September, when fee reductions had not yet impacted transaction levels. While trading activity has declined, the platform maintains over $1 billion in total deposits, suggesting capital retention despite reduced velocity. The sustainability of current engagement levels will depend on user behavior once fee coverage ends.
