Arc System Works plans to establish Arc System Works Tokyo Studio Takumi, a new development studio, on November 2. The company said the move is intended to bolster development capacity across its operations, starting with a fighting game chosen for Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry IP360 subsidy program. The studio will also serve as a collaboration hub with a global reach, the company added. Arc System Works announced it will begin recruiting creators for the new studio. PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works and Marvel Games released the tag team fighting game Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on August 6, with a Japan release on August 7. The company previously launched Donutal on PC through Steam on September 3, with a Japan release on September 4. Arc System Works also confirmed a PlayStation 5 version of Blazblue: CentralFiction, and noted that its fighting game Guilty Gear Strive inspired a television anime adaptation titled Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers, which premiered in April 2025.
