The official X account for the television anime adaptation of ippatu's Tsugumi Project manga revealed the first cast members on Monday. The announcement accompanied a newly released voice comic featuring two of the performers.

The confirmed cast includes:

- Masaaki Mizunaka as Leon

- Haruki Ishiya as Dudu

- Misaki Watada as Tsugumi

A promotional image shared by the anime's X account shows the three actors alongside the project's production committee credit.

Kodansha USA Publishing holds the North American distribution rights to the original manga, which follows a soldier named Leon who is falsely accused and assigned to a near-suicidal mission to retrieve a hazardous weapon from a remote, irradiated zone. The setting, once Japan, is now dominated by mutated creatures and was referred to as "Tsugumi" in historical records.

The manga was created by ippatu and first published in Japan by Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine in January 2021. The series concluded in September 2023 with an epilogue chapter. The final compiled volume was released in Japan in November 2023, with Kodansha USA issuing the English edition in September 2025. Physical copies were distributed in France in February 2024.
