Microsoft is offering free access to several video games on Xbox during the July 4 weekend. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 multiplayer and Zombies modes are available without charge through July 6. Diablo IV is free through July 7. Demonschool and The Stone Madness provide two‑hour trials until July 5. None of the titles require an Xbox Game Pass subscription during the promotion. Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure is included in the Free Play Days lineup through July 5 but requires Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential. The promotion coincides with expected Microsoft layoffs beginning July 6. Microsoft indicated it may close at least five studios, though other arrangements are possible.
