Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is scheduled for release in 2027. It will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PlayStation 5. A store listing referenced by IGN shows a Story Expansion Pass available for purchase. The pass has not been described in detail. Director Naoki Hamaguchi said at Summer Game Fest that fan interest in character‑specific narratives and side stories is notable. He added that exploring those possibilities is of interest. Square Enix released Intergrade, a post‑launch expansion for Final Fantasy 7 Remake focusing on Yuffie, and decided not to issue an expansion for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The company is prioritizing development of Revelation. The upcoming release will be multiplatform, unlike the previous title’s PlayStation exclusivity. Details about the expansion pass and other downloadable content remain undisclosed.
