Quantic Dream announced that development of Star Wars Eclipse is proceeding as planned after a walkout by some staff members. Star Wars Eclipse was first announced in 2019, and the studio has not released any public gameplay footage. Last week, developers walked out to protest the closure of Spellcasters Chronicles, which the studio said was due to challenging market conditions. Quantic Dream told IGN that the studio has the full commitment of its team and the resources needed to complete the title, and that the restructuring of staff does not affect the game's timeline. The company added that it is focused on supporting employees affected by the restructuring. In contrast, striking staff said that the current team size is inadequate and that the project requires additional personnel to meet its goals. KitGuru reported that the game has been in development for about five years without a public demonstration. Quantic Dream declined to provide further comment, and no public release date has been announced.
