Jennifer English will no longer voice Gwendolyn, the lead character in Tides of Annihilation, after announcing a health-related departure, Eclipse Glow Games said on July 17.

English, best known for voicing Shadowheart in Baldur's Gate 3 and Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, had been attached to the role since the game's reveal at a State of Play event in February 2025. The studio posted on X that she had stepped away due to personal health concerns and would remain in an advisory capacity while helping to locate a replacement actress.

Tides of Annihilation is a Western‑inspired action game that incorporates gameplay elements from Devil May Cry and features boss encounters reminiscent of Shadow of the Colossus. The title is slated to be demonstrated at Gamescom in August and will be released on PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X, though no release date has been announced.

English has not offered further comment on social media, but she continues to work on other video game projects.
