Marvel released a short clip showing Sadie Sink in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, lasting about five seconds. The clip features her saying “What would you do if…” before being censored. Fans have speculated that her character could be Jean Grey, Mary Jane, or another Marvel character. The speculation is based on her appearance and the context of telepathic abilities mentioned in online discussions. Tom Holland denied that an X‑Men character will appear in the film. Director Destin Daniel Cretton said there is a real reason for keeping her identity secret. The movie is scheduled to open in theaters on July 31. Marvel has not confirmed which character Sink is portraying.
