Strategy's co-founder and executive chairman Michael Saylor posted a StrategyTracker chart on X on Sunday with the caption "We're gonna need another color," his fifth such post since the firm last disclosed a bitcoin purchase. The chart shows 113 purchase events and 843,775 BTC valued at about $54.4 billion, roughly $9.3 billion below the $63.69 billion the company has spent acquiring bitcoin, according to its July 20 SEC filing. The last confirmed purchase was 520 BTC for about $34.9 million between June 15 and June 21; subsequent filings on June 29, July 6, July 13 and July 20 recorded no purchases, and the latest report showed $263.5 million in MSTR share sales that increased the dollar reserve to $3.225 billion. Saylor's earlier posts have sometimes preceded purchases, but recent captions have not been followed by disclosures. In late June the company adopted a capital framework that includes a $1 billion repurchase program for digital credit securities, a $1 billion common stock buyback and a BTC monetization program allowing up to $1.25 billion of bitcoin sales. The firm also redefined its net asset value metric as share price divided by net bitcoin per share, excluding senior claims, noting that prior mNAV calculations are not comparable. The company reported its second‑quarter results after the U.S. market close on Thursday, July 30, and has not confirmed any purchase, sale or other transaction for the week ending Sunday.
