WayForward has been linked to a possible Cyberpunk spin-off brawler titled Gemini, according to a report by MP1st. The report cites a former employee's portfolio that listed a project codenamed Gemini and described it as a 2.5D rollback-driven beat-'em-up with online multiplayer features. Development on the project is said to have begun in 2025 and continued into the present, though WayForward has not confirmed the status. The company previously worked on an unannounced Unreal Engine 5 title based on a licensed franchise, which was reportedly paused in September 2025. WayForward is known for titles such as River City Girls, Shantae, Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, Contra 4, and The Mummy Demastered. The second season of the Netflix series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is scheduled for release this fall, and CD Projekt Red continues development of Cyberpunk 2 and The Witcher 4.
