Ubisoft announced it will discontinue blockchain support for the turn‑based RPG Champions Tactics and shut down its servers on October 30. The game, released in 2024, allowed each character to be minted as an NFT. Microtransactions have been disabled ahead of the shutdown, and the company will remove the game from its storefront after the servers are taken offline, ending access for players. The earlier NFT marketplace Quartz, which offered cosmetic items for Rainbow Six Siege, never attracted a substantial user base and has been discontinued. Ubisoft said the move reflects limited market interest in its NFT projects.
