The staff of The Apothecary Diaries anime announced that the third season will premiere on October 2, with a new trailer, key visual, a new cast member, character visuals, and the opening song “Kumo o Nukekazashimo e Watashidake” performed by yorushika. The announcement was made during a special event held on Saturday, where staff also revealed that voice actress Reina Ueda will portray Bai Niangniang, a pale and mysterious nymph. The same event displayed character visuals for the upcoming film “Kusiriya no Hitorigoto: Bōhi no Hihō,” which will open in theaters on December 11 and feature a new story by series author Hyuganatsu. The franchise, which has sold more than 57 million copies worldwide and been translated into 16 languages, will see the third season air at 11:00 p.m. on NTV and 29 affiliated channels for its first cours, with a second cours scheduled for April 2027. Earlier seasons debuted in October 2023 and January 2025, both streamed by Crunchyroll with English dubs, while J‑Novel Club continues to publish the novels digitally.
