Epomaker announced the RT75, a 75% mechanical keyboard with a hot‑swappable 1.54‑inch TFT screen, tri‑mode wireless capability and gasket‑mount construction, priced at $91.79 with Creamy Jade linear switches or $93.49 with Crystal Tactile Silent switches, and initially offered in Retro White.
The keyboard is part of a series of retro‑styled peripherals that emphasize compact layouts and customizable features. Its 75% form factor reduces the size of a full‑size board while retaining essential keys, and the integrated screen can display custom GIFs, a clock or system statistics.
The display is hot‑swappable and can be replaced with up to four additional switches, allowing a layout closer to tenkeyless dimensions. Under the keycaps, MX‑style sockets support south‑facing per‑key RGB backlighting that is controlled via Epomaker Driver 3.0, available as a browser utility or standalone software for Windows and macOS. The interior consists of a polycarbonate plate, a Poron gasket mount and six layers of sound‑damping material. Keycaps are Cherry‑profile, dye‑sublimated PBT, mounted on an ABS case that includes a built‑in compartment for the 2.4 GHz receiver. The device lacks adjustable feet, resulting in a fixed 5.8° typing angle. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless and USB‑C wired operation, with a 1000 Hz polling rate for wired or wireless connections. A 5000 mAh battery powers the wireless mode.
Epomaker indicated that additional colour variants may be released and that the product is expected to ship later in the year. KitGuru asked whether consumers prefer the retro aesthetic or a more modern design.
