The Steam Frame completes Valve's three-part hardware rollout that began with the Steam Machine console and the Steam Controller. Technical specifications listed in the developer's FAQ include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 16 GB of unified LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1 TB of internal storage, dual 2160×2160 LCD panels per eye, and a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz. Industry sources note that component costs have risen, with Qualcomm reportedly increasing its processor prices by more than 10%, which could lead to a higher price for the headset.
