Apple plans to postpone the release of AirPods with integrated cameras until 2027, according to Bloomberg. The delay follows a video leak that displayed the feature in a macOS Tahoe test build earlier this week.

AirPods have long been the subject of camera rumors, but Apple has not confirmed any such design. The video leak appeared in a release candidate of macOS Tahoe 26.7, suggesting the headphones may include a lens and microphone array.

Bloomberg said the product is not scheduled for a 2026 launch. Apple has not publicly addressed the leak, and its internal roadmap still lists a 2027 debut for the camera feature. Analysts note that adding cameras could enable new augmented reality capabilities, but the postponement may reflect technical hurdles or strategic shifts.

The timeline for the camera‑enabled AirPods remains unclear, and Apple has not indicated a revised schedule beyond 2027.
