Aniplex announced via a video that the Fate/strange Fake television anime will receive a new season, a statement made at the Anime NYC event on August 22, 2026.

Fate/strange Fake is an adaptation of Ryohgo Narita’s spinoff story, which began as an April Fool’s joke in April 2008 and was later published as a supplement for Type‑Moon Ace magazine before becoming a light novel series with illustrations by Shizuki Morii in January 2015. The first season premiered on January 3, 2025, at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV and Tochigi TV, after a 90‑minute special that aired in July 2023.

The series is directed by Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume, with scripts by Daisuke Daitō, character design by Yūkei Yamada, and music by Hiroyuki Sawano. The opening theme “Provant” is performed by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:Jean‑Ken Johnny and TAKUMA. Crunchyroll streams the anime in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS; the English‑subtitled version of the first episode debuted at the Fate 20th Anniversary Showcase in November 2024, the Japanese‑dubbed version launched in December 2024, and the English dub began streaming in January 2026.

The 10th and final light novel volume is slated for release this summer, and a manga adaptation by Morii is ongoing. The series remains available on Crunchyroll worldwide.
