Nvidia announced on Friday that it had become a minority investor in Cloverleaf, a datacenter infrastructure company founded in 2024.
The investment is intended to help Cloverleaf expand sites that provide the power and cooling required for Nvidia’s latest GPU generations.
Nvidia’s GPUs require datacenters with high power density and liquid cooling, especially for the Blackwell and Rubin generations, which are offered only in liquid‑cooled configurations.
Cloverleaf specializes in providing land, power, and cooling infrastructure for cloud providers and AI developers.
Nvidia has previously invested in OpenAI, CoreWeave, and Nebius to support datacenter development.
The DSX platform, launched in spring, outlines the power, cooling, and space specifications needed for a given compute workload and includes tools for capacity optimization.
Cloverleaf will adopt the DSX specification, including DSX Flex, which can adjust workloads in response to grid conditions or utilize onsite generation and storage.
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
The partnership aims to ensure that the expanded datacenter capacity can support the growing demand for Nvidia’s AI hardware while addressing grid and cooling challenges.
