NVIDIA is offering a free wall‑mounted compute unit to select homeowners as part of a partnership with SPAN and PulteGroup.

The unit includes 16 Blackwell GPUs and four server CPUs, housed in a liquid‑cooled enclosure roughly the size of an air conditioner, and is valued at over $250,000.

The pilot program, limited to about 100 homes in a few communities, requires no upfront cost and includes subsidies for electricity and internet, while participants retain a portion of the revenue generated by the system.

If successful, the model could become widely adopted, positioning residential compute as a complement to home solar generation and off‑peak energy use.
