An Xbox Store listing for Mewgenics indicated a September 8 release date for the Xbox Series X, according to a leak discovered by True Achievements on August 23. The listing, which also noted 53 achievements, is no longer visible but still confirms a Nicalis‑published port is forthcoming. Creator Edmund McMillen said on X that an announcement related to the game would be made at Gamescom Opening Night Live, scheduled for August 25. The original PC version launched in February and received a positive review from Polygon, which described the game as balancing juvenile humor with complex gameplay. It is unclear whether additional console ports or new content will be announced. If the date remains unchanged, the Xbox release is expected on September 8; confirmation will follow the Gamescom presentation.
