Vice President JD Vance delivered a closed‑door speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition leadership summit in Las Vegas on Monday, addressing concerns about Israel’s declining favorability among younger Americans and rising antisemitism.

Vance has faced skepticism from some members of the Jewish Republican community over his positions on the Iran conflict and criticism of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as his past association with Israel‑skeptical commentators.

At the summit, held at the Venetian Resort and attended by GOP Jewish leaders, Vance said the United States and Israel share a concrete alignment of interest that should be articulated to the American public. He condemned antisemitic claims such as blood libel, describing them as contrary to Christian teachings, and called for continued support of Senate candidate Mike Rogers in his race against Democratic nominee Abdul El‑Sayed.

Senator Jim Banks praised the speech, noting that Vance received several standing ovations and that attendees did not perceive it as pandering. RJC CEO Matt Brooks said the audience’s bullshit detector confirmed that the remarks were substantive rather than political.

The appearance formed part of Vance’s effort to secure backing from Jewish donors ahead of the 2028 presidential nomination, a goal that may require stronger support from the community. While some major donors have expressed preference for Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Vance’s cross‑country itinerary signaled a deliberate focus on the Jewish donor base.
