Paxos announced that its brokerage infrastructure now supports XRP trading, custody, deposits and withdrawals for partner platforms. The company said the addition reflects XRP’s two‑year circulation history and a wallet count exceeding 8.1 million, with a market capitalization near $95 billion. Partners can integrate Paxos’s regulated service into their own applications to offer XRP alongside other digital assets. The XRP Ledger Foundation listed PayPal, Venmo, Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab and Mercado Libre as existing Paxos clients. XRP was trading at $1.43, down more than 6 % during a broader crypto market sell‑off. Paxos described its brokerage as an infrastructure layer that supplies custody, licensing and trade execution while partners manage the customer‑facing interface. The service also enables cash‑to‑crypto conversion, payment settlement and asset movement within a partner’s network. Schwab’s recent crypto expansion added Solana, Avalanche and Chainlink but did not include XRP; its custody arrangement uses Paxos for trade execution and sub‑custody. Ripple separately announced that its Custody product now supports Canton, a public blockchain for tokenization, and that it expanded Prime services to include Brevan Howard through multi‑asset prime brokerage, clearing and financing. Ripple Prime’s August launch of total‑return swaps linked to U.S. equities, indexes and digital assets allows institutional clients to maintain a single counterparty relationship and cross‑margin positions across asset classes. The company also completed a $275 million private placement of senior unsecured notes to fund working capital and U.S. business growth.
