Razer has introduced the Wolverine V4 series, comprising a wireless Pro model and a wired Tournament Edition designed for Xbox and PC platforms. Both controllers incorporate capacitive thumbstick sensors paired with a 16-bit ADC chip, enabling approximately 3000 discrete movement steps per stick. The company states these sensors deliver higher positional resolution and reduced susceptibility to magnetic interference compared to Hall Effect or TMR technologies, while eliminating drift during extended use. On PC, both wired and wireless variants of the Pro model achieve an 8000Hz HyperPolling rate with sub-1ms response latency. Xbox Series X|S connectivity operates at a maximum of 250Hz. Each controller provides six programmable action buttons, including four magnetic removable back buttons and two claw-grip bumpers. The Pro version supports Pro HyperTriggers, allowing users to toggle between instant actuation and full analogue pull modes, with actuation points adjustable between 1.3mm and 8.2mm via Razer Synapse software. Physical customization options are more extensive on the Pro model, which permits swapping of thumbstick caps and faceplates. Both units feature textured TPU side grips, PBT mecha-tactile face buttons, and an eight-way floating D-pad. Four onboard memory slots store individual profiles containing button mappings, trigger configurations, and dead zone settings adjustable from 0% to 15%. The Wolverine V4 Pro is priced at £199.99/$199.99/€209.99, while the Tournament Edition is available at £99.99/$99.99/€109.99. KitGuru notes the distinction between the two models centers on customization breadth and price point.
