Razer has introduced the Barracuda V2 Pro, a wireless headset that can operate on PC, mobile, console and handheld platforms simultaneously. The device employs Razer’s TriForce Bio‑Cellulose 40 mm drivers and supports THX Spatial Audio+ on PC, delivering 7.1.4 virtual surround sound for overhead cues. Hybrid active noise cancellation is built into the unit, and its microphone system combines a detachable boom mic for PC gaming with internal beamforming microphones for mobile use. According to Razer, a single charge provides up to 70 hours of playback. Connectivity relies on Razer HyperSpeed Wireless, and a SmartSwitch button lets users toggle between 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth modes. The headset maintains both connections at once, allowing incoming calls or messages to interrupt gameplay without disconnecting the primary link. Console and handheld compatibility are included, and the 285‑gram frame folds flat for travel, with a compartment inside an earcup to store the wireless dongle. The Barracuda V2 Pro is priced at £199.99 and is currently on sale. KitGuru notes that consumers may be considering new multi‑platform headsets for the year.
